Ever Visit Walt Disney World’s Main Street Confectionery?

by Dining In Disney Admin

One of the more popular food stops during a trip to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has to be the Main Street Confectionery which is located just past the circle on the right side as you start down famed Main Street USA. Conveniently located on the corner as you head towards Cinderella’s Castle, this is a candy shop to beat all candy shops.

If the bright colors and urge to appease your sweet tooth doesn’t draw you in then the sweet aromas of chocolate and freshly baked fudge emanating from the store surely will. In this delectable shop you’ll find everything from cookies, candy and fudge to Disney themed rice krispie treats and all sorts of candied apples. The selection is second to none and everyone in your party is sure to find something they’ll like. You really feel like you’re in a turn-of-the-century hometown confectionery when you walk in the corner door, maybe one like Walt Disney himself visited back in his younger years in Marceline, MO. It’s a place that can’t be missed on your next visit so next time you’re strolling down Main Street do yourself a favor and stop in for some good old fashioned Disney treats.

Please contact me with information on place settings I had found at the Main Street Confectinery on our trip in early January of this year.

I would like to know how to order specific items from the store. The plates were white and ice blue with the classic Mickey head outline around the plates.

The Confectionery is such a magical, fun, and child like, place. I love the store and how I felt when I was there and feel when I think about it. It is true, you can really feel the magic at Disney and I want to be a part of the cast and to experience the joy for the rest of my life. So, I am despirately asking for help in this. This note/comment will probably sound somewhat random, but I am trying to find someone there who can help me to become a cast member at the Confectionery.
I currently live in Indiana but plan to move to Florida as soon as I find a job and place to live.
This is how I knew I would be a great cast member at Disney.
The CEO of the Hospital I use to work, sent out a news letter and in it was this quesion: “What is your passion in life”? Instantly, I knew the answer and have been trying to achieve this goal for the last couple years.
My passion is to work in the Confectionery. I know with all my heart I could make the customer feel as welcome and as happy to be there as I would be working there. I am a young at heart 55 year old lady who becomes a child when I am there. I have been trying for almost 2 years to find a way to achieve my passion, but without much success. Please help me to accomplish this goal.
I worked 21 years as a Unit Secretary in a hospital so I am very customer oriented, flexable and dependable. But, I need help. I have placed an application with Disney a month or so ago but have not heard anything.
Thank you for your time and I am so looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Barbara Middleton

Here’s a big THANK YOU to Amber @ the Confectionery for our delicious sprinkle-coated marshmallow sticks. The children were so tickled that someone would be so nice. Our Disney experience was wonderful as usual, but just a little more magical because of you.
